Position: Dialysis RN Charge Nurse
Location: Irvington, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Up to $52 /hour
Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dialysis RN Charge Nurse to oversee daily operations within the dialysis unit. This leadership role ensures high-quality patient care, staff coordination, and compliance with clinical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and document water quality checks in accordance with established guidelines
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste
- Maintain strict infection control practices, including disinfection of machines, chairs, and supplies
- Promote and enforce a clean, safe patient care environment
- Review treatment documentation for accuracy and completion
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff members
- Participate in staff evaluations and performance improvement processes
- Respond effectively to emergency situations
- Assign staff to patients based on acuity, skill level, and care needs
- Facilitate smooth daily operations within the dialysis unit
- Communicate all unit concerns and updates directly to the Nurse Manager
- Maintain thorough knowledge of patient conditions and care plans during assigned shifts
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Promote excellent customer service and patient-centered care
- Maintain professionalism and foster a supportive team environment
- Educate staff and patients on clinical and technical aspects of dialysis, including medication administration
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Experience with venipuncture required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to emergencies
- Prior dialysis experience preferred
