Position: Security Guard
Location: Irvington, NJ
Shift: PRN – Saturdays, 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $15.92 per hour

Alliance Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dependable and observant Security Guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position is responsible for facility security, visitor access, alarm monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and responding appropriately to emergencies.

• Monitor the facility entrance and front lobby to maintain safety and security.

• Monitor the front door and help prevent resident elopement
  .

• Control visitor access and maintain visitor sign-in procedures.

• Monitor CCTV cameras, fire alarms, and door alarms
  .

• Follow established procedures for elopement, security incidents, and emergencies.

• Respond quickly and appropriately to disruptive or suspicious activity.

• Assess individuals entering or attempting to enter the facility.

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the shift.

• Operate a multi-line telephone system and assist with front-desk communication.

• Follow all facility policies, security procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Conduct required facility screenings according to current protocols.

• Protect the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors.

• Security or healthcare facility experience preferred.

• Strong observation and communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action during emergencies.

• Ability to assess and respond to potentially disruptive or suspicious individuals.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.

• Professional telephone etiquette.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), nursing home, healthcare, hospital, or senior living environment is a plus.
