The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Supervisor and supports the Accounting Supervisor and Controller in maintaining accurate and timely financial records. This role assists with day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, financial analysis, and internal reporting while helping ensure accounting processes and policies are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate has hands-on accounting experience within a manufacturing or production environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform bank research and assist with routine treasury activities.
  • Track and reconcile capital expenditures.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
  • Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor-related accounting.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable activities and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post month-end close journal entries.
  • Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support cash flow management and working capital initiatives, including Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Support the Accounting Supervisor and Controller with reporting and other accounting initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience participating in the monthly financial close process.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting established deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

  • Ability to work within a manufacturing environment that may include non-climate-controlled areas.
