Become a Measurement & Evaluation (M&E) Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll lead and support evaluations across SCE’s portfolio of programs—including Energy Efficiency (EE), Demand Response (DR), Income Qualified Programs (IQP), and Building Electrification (BE). You’ll design and manage studies, perform statistical analyses, and translate findings into actionable insights that enhance program performance and ensure compliance with California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requirements.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of the EM&V team, you’ll guide impact evaluations, oversee consultants and contracts, and assess the evaluability of innovative programs. Your leadership in experimental design, sampling, regression, and market segmentation will be key to advancing SCE’s role as a program administrator. You’ll define evaluation standards and processes and make strategic decisions that influence program outcomes and customer benefits.

- Drive multiple ongoing energy efficiency program evaluations, including process, impact, attribution, and market research studies.
- Execute the most complex energy efficiency studies, including several process evaluations, billing analysis, and custom impact evaluations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal partners to design evaluations, plan programs, and forecast savings, costs and benefits.
- Run market assessment studies that are designed to inform the development of future energy efficiency program efforts.
- Execute cost‑effectiveness analyses of programs and energy‑saving measures.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to share best practice, provide technical advice, and build influence.
- Support design and methodologies for evaluation studies.
- Manage the tracking and reporting of energy savings for Lighting, Non‑Energy Impacts, and other Energy Efficiency programs.
- Carry out the analysis of program results and research opportunities to enhance operations; deliver regulatory filings and respond to data requests.
- Ensuring the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential data, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Ten or more years of experience in demand‑side management, evaluation, forecasting, and/or economic analyses.
- Experience coordinating the work of team members or third‑party vendors/consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, economics, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience working in California’s energy efficiency regulatory environment, market research, or utility demand‑side management programs.
- Three or more years of experience evaluating demand response and energy efficiency programs.
- Five or more years of project management experience, including leading stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, effectively prioritizing tasks, resolving issues, and managing team dynamics to ensure successful and timely project completion.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
