Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Conduct fundamental and applied research to improve or generate new products, components, equipment, systems, tests, requirements, and processes.
* Drive projects by maintaining focus across disciplines and functions on key design aspects, customer needs, system requirements, testing, product growth, and technological trends.
* Apply deep knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines to lead product innovation and development.
* Assemble and test prototypes, integrating mechanical and electrical components.
* Interpret and create detailed mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
* Sustain and support designs across the entire product life cycle.
* Communicate and collaborate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Proficiency in CAD tools (Siemens NX preferred or Solid Works), Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and rapid prototyping.
* Hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting electromechanical prototypes preferably sensors.
* Hands-on experience in assembly, machining, soldering, and related fabrication techniques for electromechanical component development and testing.
* Experience in testing electromechanical sensors and systems in automation and control systems programming (e.g., PLCs).
* Experience with sensor design and integration is a strong plus.
* Experience in designing water quality monitoring equipment or components is preferred.
* Multi-disciplinary engineering expertise with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and flow mechanics.
* Be able and willing to work in a fast-paced, agile product development environment-wear multiple hats, be resourceful, and take initiative to get the job done with minimal supervision
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
* 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in product development, preferably in sensor and automation industries.
* Experience with prototype development and CAD-based design required.

Physical Requirements:
* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
* The employee is frequently required to sit.
* The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary Range: $100,000/yr - $140,000/yr
