The Sanitarian 1 - Test position at Hudson Talent Solutions is responsible for conducting environmental health inspections, investigating public health complaints, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental health, public health, or a related field, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine inspections of food service establishments, public swimming pools, and other regulated facilities to assess compliance with health and safety standards
- Investigating public health complaints and concerns, such as those related to food-borne illnesses, vector control, and environmental hazards
- Collecting samples and conducting field tests as needed to support investigations and inspections
- Documenting findings, issuing citations or orders, and following up to ensure corrective actions are taken
- Collaborating with other public health professionals and agencies to address complex issues
- Maintaining detailed records and preparing comprehensive reports
- Providing education and outreach to the community on public health topics
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor s degree in environmental health, public health, or a related field, as well as relevant work experience. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
