Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, validation, and long‑term sustainment of manufacturing processes to ensure safe, repeatable, and cost‑effective production throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead the design and optimization of production cells, tooling, fixtures, and test systems using advanced lean principles, error‑proofing, and flow optimization.
- Serve as a technical owner for complex sustaining issues, including MRBs, nonconformances, supplier escapes, production interruptions, and field feedback; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to drive manufacturing and supplier issue resolution, using data, cost, and long‑term process health to guide decisions.
- Lead high‑impact capital projects and strategic improvement initiatives from proposal through Release‑to‑Production, prioritizing based on ROI, capacity, quality, and sustainability.
- Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to take ownership of manufacturing outcomes, not just engineering tasks, with accountability for process stability and performance.
- Advanced problem‑solving skills with demonstrated experience leading complex root cause and corrective action efforts in production environments.
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (Standard Work, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, error‑proofing) and their practical application on the production floor.
- Advanced experience designing and improving production fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing layouts (NX or Solid Works preferred).
- Ability to lead by influence across cross‑functional teams, communicate effectively at all organizational levels, and bring structure to ambiguity.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial engineering, or a related field, with approximately 7–10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex manufacturing projects, capital initiatives, or plant‑level continuous improvement programs.
Physical Requirements

- The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
