Job Summary

As a Saw Operator at Sierra Alloys, you’ll be responsible for cutting material to precise specifications using industrial sawing equipment. This role is critical to ensuring material is accurately sized, safely handled, and ready for the next step in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate sawing equipment.
  • Measure and verify cut dimensions.
  • Record production results.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow strict safety procedures to protect yourself and coworkers.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency to meet tight tolerances and support downstream operations, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, basic blueprints, and measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality.
  • Ability to operate forklift (certification preferred).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.
