Maintenance Electrician

Position

This position is responsible for the assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and systems. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, pays strong attention to detail, has excellent attendance, and is committed to workplace safety.

• $30-32/hour

• Support company maintenance requirements for machinery, facility, and safety initiatives.
• Maintain proper preventative maintenance schedules and documentation for all shop equipment.
• Support building system maintenance such as machine shop, compressors, tooling, generators, lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
• Upgrade, repair, and replace machinery parts and components as needed to maintain equipment.
• Oversee the machinery to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Support overall company electrical maintenance requirements for machinery and facility upkeep.
• Maintain electrical support for equipment in the machine shop.
• Assist mechanical assembly with troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and repair.
• Maintain electrical support of the building, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
• Maintain the building wiring inspection.
• Maintain all electrical safety records as required by OSHA.
• Work alone on all types of maintenance, repair, electrical repair, and installation.
• Operate machine shop equipment for repair parts fabrication.
• Use electrical instruments to diagnose electrical problems.
• Make various repairs to shop equipment and perform general and finish carpentry.
• Work with gas welding and cutting torches and electric welding on a variety of work.
• Maintain and repair water, oil, steam, air, and gas lines; fire and water pumping system; fork truck maintenance; and all types of electrical work.
• Maintain required housekeeping of work area and observe all safety rules.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

• Use sledgehammers, drills, crowbars, block and tackle, chain falls, drill presses, jack saws, wrenches, electrical tools, gas and electric cutting and welding equipment, plumbing and pipe‑fitters equipment, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
• Work on a variety of machines and equipment in and around the plant; use several lubricants and chemicals throughout the plant.

• Basic understanding of production and machine operation.
• Ability to use tools and precision equipment.

• Must be able to work in cold/hot temperatures.

High School or equivalent.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Prior experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform physical work with frequent use of arms and legs.
• Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders.
• Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the US.
• 3 years of experience in the electrical machine building field.
• Knowledge of 110V, 230V, 480V, and 24V DC.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of specialized diagnostic instruments.
• Experience using voltmeter, hand tools, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, standing, and climbing up to 10 ft.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Strong attention to safety.
