Librarian

Join our team as a Library Assistant in Isa Town, Bahrain. In this role, you will support the librarian in daily operations and help patrons access the library’s resources in a fast‑paced environment.

• Assist the circulation of library materials: checking items in and out, processing new acquisitions, and organizing returned items.
• Help patrons locate materials and provide basic reference and research assistance.
• Maintain an organized, orderly library by shelving books, keeping shelves tidy, and assisting with inventory checks.
• Create displays and promotional materials to highlight new or popular books.
• Process inter‑library loan requests and prepare materials for shipping.
• Perform basic clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling money transactions for overdue fines or lost materials.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a library or customer‑service role is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide friendly customer service to patrons of all ages.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary: $900 per month.

Isa Town, Bahrain (applicants must have legal permission to work in Bahrain).
