An entry-level electrician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems in residential commercial and industrial buildings. They work with a team of experienced electricians and receive on-the-job training to gain practical skills and knowledge in the field.
Responsibilities- Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems including wiring lighting and power outlets
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Learn how to read blueprints and technical diagrams to understand the layout of electrical systems
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and techniques
- Willingness to learn on-the-job from experienced electricians
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills
Salary Starting salary for this entry-level position is 1400$ per month.
