Apex Companies is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist - Scientist II to join our team out of our Iselin, NJ office. This is a field-heavy role that includes a blend of traditional industrial hygiene and building sciences work, with responsibilities spanning exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments across a variety of project sites.

Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygienist:

* Conduct personal exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry

* Assist with development of personal exposure sampling plans

* Collect noise, water, air, and/or building material samples.

* Gather, analyze, and interpret data

* Prepare draft technical reports

* Industrial Hygiene Assessments of Chemical and Noise Exposures

* Indoor Environmental Quality

* Air Monitoring

* Building Materials Sampling

* Water Intrusion and Mold Assessments

* Moisture mapping

* Visible suspect biological growth assessments

* Mold sampling and clearance protocols

* Asbestos Abatement

* Asbestos sampling

* Asbestos abatement project oversight

* Lead-Based Paint Inspections

* Lead sampling

* Clearance testing

* Assist with project oversight.

* Mentor and train project staff.

* Ensure safe work practices on all project work.

* Actively develop your own career growth.

What we're looking for:

* BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field;

* At least 2-5 years of proven technical experience.

* Experience working with industrial hygiene (personal exposure monitoring/noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.

* Asbestos, lead and/or mold inspector certifications, preferred.

* Additional EHS certifications/licensures or interest in pursuing additional qualifications highly desired.
