HVAC Engineer

Position: HVAC Engineer (Permanent)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC) to join a leading facilities management provider, supporting a major UK supermarket client across multiple retail sites.

This is a field-based role focused on delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across commercial heating and air conditioning systems within a busy retail environment.

🔧 The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC and commercial gas systems. The position involves regular planned store visits, completing PPMs, reactive repairs, and minor installation works as requested by the client.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple retail sites.

Service and repair a range of mechanical and HVAC equipment including:

Boilers

Fans

Pumps

Air Handling Units (AHUs)

Fan Coil Units (FCUs)

Carry out minor alterations and installations within your technical competence in line with current specifications.

Order replacement parts and spares in line with company procedures.

Identify non-repairable faults and escalate findings to the HVAC Supervisor with recommendations for replacement.

Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety and compliance standards.

Accurately record work via PDA system.

✅ Essential Qualifications & Experience

SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating, Ventilation, Mechanical or HVAC (or equivalent).

ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications including:

COCN

CIGA

CORT

ICPN

CDGA

TPCP1/1A (minimum requirement)

Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance in a commercial or retail environment.

Full UK Driving Licence.
