Building Surveyor

2-D As-Built Floor Plans is the leading national as-built company, measuring millions of square feet accurately.

We are looking to add to our team of building survey technicians to measure existing buildings and produce as-built drawings. Data is collected in the field using a laser that inputs information directly into a pen tablet with our proprietary software and/or with a 3D laser scanner depending on the project scope. All training on software and equipment is provided. The majority of your work will be in King County, but we provide national service;

applicants must be willing to travel occasionally.

We are looking for a CAD Drafter to produce finished floor plans from rough DWG survey files. Knowledge of Revit is a plus. Efficiency and accuracy are required to successfully maintain company templates and produce drawings that meet company standards. Full time with benefits and 401k. All CAD work takes place in our Issaquah office.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of AutoCAD (architectural applications)
• Must be detail oriented
• Effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high level of quality
• Flexibility in hours, with the ability to adjust to suit project requirements

• Basic understanding of Revit
• Experience with construction as-builts and architectural drafting
• Knowledge of National CAD standards, particularly layer naming conventions and other architectural CAD layering standards
• Knowledge of BOMA Standards and its application in commercial leasing

2-D As-Built Floor Plans is looking for partners in major cities such as Chicago, New York, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Philadelphia to measure buildings for us. 2-D provides the equipment, software and training on the methodology to complete the surveys. The projects can vary from single family dwellings to office, retail, and industrial buildings.

• Must have a high attention to detail and good spatial orientation abilities
• Must have a dependable vehicle
• In good physical condition - there is considerable walking and standing on the job
• A pleasant demeanor is desirable, as we interface with a wide variety of both clients and tenants on sites

• Experience with measuring buildings
• AutoCAD knowledge
• Engineering degrees tend to do well in this position

The work is paid by the amount of square footage measured.
