Job Overview for Performative Arts Director, Summit Classical Christian School aims to partner with faithful Christian families to educate students in a Biblical worldview using classical methods. We foster humility and virtue, train curious thinkers, eloquent communicators, and passionate stewards of God’s gifts. The goal of the fine arts department is to support this mission. As a classical school, we immerse students in great music and arts, cultivate a rich vocabulary in the arts, and inspire students to love and joyfully participate in the performative arts.

Instruction builds foundational knowledge and skills through Grammar (experience and memorization), Logic (theory and application of technique), and Rhetoric (individual and collaborative preparation and performance). At the Rhetoric level, students demonstrate mastery of musical and performative skills, technical understanding, and expressive communication.

The Performative Arts Director will educate students in a distinctly Biblical worldview through whole-person formation—mind, heart, and body—which includes music, speech, and the dramatic arts, oriented toward worship, wisdom, and wonder. The aim is doxological communication: proclaiming truth, training eloquence, and practicing joyful discipleship.

Summit Classical Christian School seeks a full-time Performative Arts Director. The director must be a visionary with administrative skills, a committed Christian with a background in music and the performing arts, and committed to helping improve and build our distinctly classical program.
