SAT​/ACT Math​/Verbal Tutors

About the Position

The Huntington Learning Center in Issaquah is looking for dedicated tutors to provide in‑person, individualized instruction in exam prep and subject tutoring. Tutors will support students in homework, exam preparation, and study skills development.

• Use effective teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance understanding.
• Assess individual student needs and guide lessons to meet specific goals and score targets.
• Teach students in subjects such as ACT/SAT reading, writing, math, history, literature, writing, psychology, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, and math.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (education or related field preferred).
• At least one year teaching or tutoring experience (preferred).
• Willingness to work a minimum of 3 days (10–20 hours) per week and maintain flexible availability.
• Ability to reliably commute to Issaquah (98027).
• Strong desire to make a positive difference in students’ lives.

Part‑time (10–20+ hours per week). Hourly rate: $22.00–$26.00 per hour.

Current shift options:
Weekdays M–Th 3 pm–8 pm;
Friday 1 pm–7 pm;
Weekends Saturday 9 am–4 pm, Sunday 10 am–4 pm. Updated schedule (starting June 22):
Weekdays M–Th 9 am–7 pm;
Friday 9 am–5 pm;
Saturday 9 am–3 pm. Availability can be selected to fit you.
