Outdoor School Teacher

We're a fully outdoor nature based preschool looking for reliable, caring and communicative people to join our teaching team! We’re looking for an Assistant Teacher to work part time to support our Preschool classroom at our Issaquah Farm location or our Bellevue Park location. We'd like to hire someone who wants to grow with us and stay on long term. There is lots of opportunity for growth with us!

• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Provide individualized support for children with diverse learning needs.
• Engage in literacy education activities that promote reading readiness and language development.
• Incorporate math concepts into daily activities to enhance children's understanding of numbers and problem-solving.
• Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety while encouraging social interaction.
• Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated curriculum that supports holistic development.
• Takes initiative in the classroom setting
• Is "weather hearty" and able to create an engaging and fun learning environment throughout all seasons.

• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and teaching team members!
• A nurturing attitude and the ability to build trusting relationships with students

Job Type: Full-time; 8:30-5:00 M-F; part time scheduled also available
