Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher responsible for assessing students' needs, developing individualized plans, and fostering inclusive learning environments during a 36-week assignment located in or near Issaquah, WA. The role supports students with special needs to achieve educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess students' educational and emotional needs and develop individualized plans that promote inclusive learning strategies.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to implement tailored instructional methods and support techniques.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavioral incidents, and other relevant educational data.
- Execute classroom activities and interventions that align with students' IEPs and promote a positive, inclusive environment.
- Provide ongoing support and training to general education staff on best practices for inclusion and differentiated instruction.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Special Education Endorsement
- Fingerprint clearance
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with special education students in an inclusion setting
- Ability to pass background checks
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability
- Team-oriented mindset
