Middle School ELA & SS Teacher
St. Joseph Parish School is seeking a Middle School teacher candidate for the school year. St. Joseph Parish School is located in both Issaquah, WA (preschool through 3rd grade) and Snoqualmie, WA (4th-8th grade). We have one class per grade with a total of 188 students. The mission of St. Joseph Parish School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to form the hearts and minds of children through the example of Jesus Christ.
Teacher candidates will work in collaboration with our dynamic and engaging school staff. Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith and supporting students in reaching high academic standards. A bachelor's degree is required (preferably in education). A current teaching certificate is preferred; however, we will consider highly motivated candidates who are actively working toward certification.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. We are seeking a dedicated, mission-driven educator who is eager to be part of a supportive, faith-filled school community.
The Middle School Teacher, reporting to the Principal & Vice Principal, will join a collaborative team of colleagues to build a creative, engaging and student-centered learning environment, employing best practices for educating students in an inclusive setting. Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Teach ELA and Social Studies in Middle School
- Serve as a 7th grade homeroom teacher and member of a grade-level team
- Differentiate instruction so as to meet the needs of a diverse learner population
- Enjoy, appreciate, and understand the developmental nature of middle schoolers
- Actively collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum, assessment and instructional practices in alignment with best practices to create innovative and equitable learning experiences for all students
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction across core subject areas
- Create a positive, well-managed classroom rooted in respect and responsibility
- Integrate Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the life of the school community
- Loves working with upper elementary students and building strong relationships
- Holds high expectations while nurturing confidence and responsibility
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and organization
- Is flexible, collaborative, and reflective in practice
- Communicates clearly and professionally with students, families, and staff
- Supports and embraces the mission of Catholic education
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Valid teaching credential or eligibility for certification
- Upper elementary teaching experience preferred
- Ability to integrate faith and values into instruction and school life
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

SalaryThe salary range for this position is from $58,000-$87,000.
