Surveys, checks and optimizes product concepts regarding all aspects of their serviceability, maintainability and reliability, for s apecific group of products or systems.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Ultrasound Serviceability Engineer:
  • You will be responsible for the Service Engineering of Ultrasound products. This includes managing service projects and developing Product Service Concept and Plans.
  • Work hands‑on with Ultrasound systems and hardware evaluating serviceability, troubleshooting issues, validating service requirements, and supporting product development activities.
  • Provide input to Engineering on new products early in the new product introduction cycle to improve serviceability and diagnostic functions.
  • Define serviceability and value‑added service requirements and support their implementation within the Project team.
  • Evaluate the product service lifecycle, test and validate service requirements and functions, create technical documentation, and provide technical training when required.
  • Expected to become the Service expert for your products and perform Service Engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with the entire Customer Service team and cross‑functional members which include Product and Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project and Product management, and business partners.

  • Technical knowledge of Ultrasound technologies and capabilities.
  • Identify and assess risks and develop suitable strategies for risk mitigation.
  • The analytical ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, including Engineering.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Lead service projects and provide guidance within a team.
Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in medical devices and customer service
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in medical devices and/or customer services relevant roles.
  • Ultrasound System service and repair experience is preferred.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with AI, Cloud based computing, and Powershell a plus.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.

The base pay range for this position is:

$102,600 - $141,075

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
