Accounting Assistant
Join a well‑established finance team at a large warehouse wholesaler where you'll play a critical role in setting up and maintaining vendor payment information. This is a great opportunity for someone with a finance or accounting background who enjoys working with documentation, systems, and cross‑functional teams – without the pressure of full‑cycle accounting.
What You'll Do- Review and validate vendor documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Set up and maintain vendor profiles, including ACH/EFT payment information
- Enter and update vendor data in SAP with a high level of accuracy
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve setup issues
- Ensure all vendor records are complete, consistent, and audit‑ready
- Support ongoing projects and take on increasingly complex responsibilities over time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (this is a must‑have)
- Experience reviewing documents and entering financial or customer data
- Background in accounts payable, vendor setup, contracts, billing, or legal/admin support
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with a team
- Finance or Accounting degree preferred (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
- SAP experience is a plus, but not required
- Supportive managers with a strong track record of positive contractor experiences
- Collaborative team environment with room to grow your responsibilities
- Exposure to enterprise‑level systems and processes
- Opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract
