Position Title: Activity and Event Coordinator
Department: Community Life Services
Schedule: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday – Friday
Pay: $25-$27/hr

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Three to five years in the field of recreation/activity planning. Work in Senior Living preferred;
specific experience working with older adults required
. - Reliable transportation
- Successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and TB test
- Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and have advanced computer skills.
The Activity Coordinator works closely with the Director and is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a variety of activities to enrich the lives of Senior residents. This position will offer excellent customer service and make the needs of our residents a priority by implementing the ten hospitality promises in daily work. Periodic evening and weekend work required.
EssentialJob Duties
- Coordinate and implement recreational and educational activities, programs, events, and outing for independent living Senior residents.
- Produce resident newsletter, flyers and calendar using the Touch Town platform for the resident and employee portal, Community Apps.
- Maintain the online calendar and implement new resources from Touch Town.
- Research appropriate education courses, activities, outings, and programs and maintain working relationships with instructors, artists/performers, and other partners.
- Reserve, monitor and supervise meeting rooms and public spaces for residents using the Worxhub scheduling platform. Operate multi-media systems to include sound and video projection for programs, events and meetings.
- Work with resident volunteers to assist in the planning of activities, programs, meetings and events.
- Liaison to Resident and Employee Committees.
- Attend staff and resident meetings.
- Coordinate resident outings with the Leisure Committee and Transportation Manager.
- Maintain computer files to include folders and resident databases.

This is an active position with frequent walking throughout the community. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move tables/chairs.
