  • Assist in the implementation of teaching strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral development.
  • Conduct behavior management and intervention strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and increase adaptive behaviors.
  • Support students with daily living skills, including communication, self-regulation, and independence-building tasks.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff and other members of the school team to create a supportive learning environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
  • Prior experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or in a special education setting.
  • Ability to implement behavior intervention plans and collect data in accordance with the guidance of a BCBA.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well within a team and interact professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a school-based setting.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide individualized support to students.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain attention and focus in a dynamic, high-stimulation environment
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly
