The Google Infrastructure Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for the administration, architecture, security, and optimization of enterprise collaboration platforms—primarily Google Workspace and complementary tools such as Smartsheet and Lucidchart.

This role involves managing global configurations, automation, integrations, migrations, and governance to support a modern, secure, and efficient digital workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the SME and technical owner for Google Workspace (Admin Console, Gmail, Drive, Vault, Gemini), Smartsheet, and Lucidchart.
  • Lead day-to-day administration, configuration, architecture, and maintenance of collaboration platforms for a global workforce.
  • Design and execute global rollouts, configuration baselines, and structured change management processes for new and existing functionalities.
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce security and governance controls, including DLP, data residency controls, conditional access, SSO/SAML, and OAuth integrations.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Google Apps Script, Python, Power Shell, and GAM to reduce operational effort and improve reliability.
  • Lead system integrations between Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, and other enterprise systems to streamline cross-functional workflows.
  • Support and manage data migration initiatives, including transitions from M365 to Google Drive or other platforms.
  • Evaluate emerging collaboration technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations and roadmaps to enhance digital employee experience.
  • Collaborate with IT asset management to optimize platform licensing at an enterprise level, delivering data-driven insights for cost management and feature utilization.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience administering and engineering Google Workspace environments at an enterprise scale.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with collaboration tools including Gmail, Drive, Vault, Gemini, Smartsheet, and Lucidchart.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using Google Apps Script, Python, Power Shell, or GAM.
  • Experience implementing governance and security controls such as DLP, SSO/SAML, OAuth integrations, and conditional access.
  • Proven ability to design and execute global rollouts and configuration frameworks.
  • Experience integrating collaboration platforms with enterprise systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to support data migration initiatives between collaboration platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in large, global enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with digital workplace strategies and modern collaboration platforms.
  • Background in IT asset management or licensing optimization.
