Storage Engineer - Everpure​/Dell

CMK Resources is supporting our partner in expanding their Everpure Flash Array footprint and is seeking a Transition Resident to provide onsite technical support during the deployment and adoption of their enterprise storage environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Storage Engineer who enjoys working directly alongside infrastructure teams, building long-term relationships, and helping establish operational best practices.

This engagement is focused on supporting the transition from a legacy Dell Power Max environment to Everpure Flash Array. While Everpure Flash Array experience is preferred, it is not required. We are also interested in experienced enterprise storage engineers with backgrounds supporting comparable enterprise storage platforms. The environment is relatively straightforward and will leverage Flash Array primarily as highly available block storage behind existing virtualization layers rather than advanced native Flash Array features.

The successful consultant will become a trusted technical resource embedded with the infrastructure team, helping ensure a smooth transition while positioning Everpure for future growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite Transition Resident supporting the infrastructure team throughout the migration and adoption period.
• Build strong working relationships with infrastructure engineers and become a trusted technical advisor.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, validation, and day-to-day administration of the enterprise storage environment.
• Support the migration from Dell Power Max to Everpure Flash Array.
• Monitor storage health, performance, and availability across the environment.
• Assist with system upgrades, maintenance activities, firmware updates, and operational best practices.
• Troubleshoot storage-related issues and coordinate with Everpure support when necessary.
• Document operational procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the infrastructure team.
• Participate in planning sessions for future expansion of the storage environment.
• Represent CMK Resources and our partner professionally while delivering exceptional customer service onsite.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise storage engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience administering one or more enterprise storage platforms, such as:
• Everpure Flash Array (preferred)
• Dell EMC Power Max or VMAX
• IBM Flash System (formerly Storwize)
• HPE Alletra or Nimble
• VAST Data
• Experience supporting enterprise SAN environments, block storage, LUN provisioning, host connectivity, and storage administration.
• Experience performing enterprise storage migrations or technology refresh projects.
• Experience supporting highly available production storage environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing consulting skills.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in the Issaquah / Seattle area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Everpure Flash Array administration experience.
• Experience migrating from Dell Power Max, VMAX, or other enterprise storage platforms to Everpure Flash Array.
• Experience with IBM SVC or Dell VPLEX virtualization layers.
• VMware vSphere administration experience.
• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, Storage Consultant, or Technical Account Manager.

Nice to Have

• Cisco MDS or Brocade SAN switching.
• Power Shell or Python automation.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage performance tuning and best practices.
