American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Unit consists of 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low‑risk antepartum, OB‑GYN surgical, pre‑op, and post‑op cases
- Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
- Procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Attends all deliveries, including high‑risk deliveries
- Responsibilities span couplet care, GYN surgeries, low‑risk antepartum, and transition nursery
- Night shift: 3×12‑hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Floating required to post‑partum and NICU based on skill set
- Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First‑time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff of non‑Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3‑month separation period
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position; limited time‑off requests should be disclosed prior to submission, as post‑offer RTO requests may be denied
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
