The Oncology Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology on the outpatient oncology floor is responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult patients undergoing chemotherapy infusion and other oncologic treatments. This role involves supporting outpatient infusion needs, managing ports, and administering chemotherapy while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Job Details- Schedule:
8:30 am – 5:00 pm, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
BLS, Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) fundamentals of chemotherapy certification, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN); at least one year of medical‑surgical oncology or outpatient chemotherapy infusion experience. - Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive chemotherapy experience, outpatient oncology background. - Additional Information:
Outpatient oncology with chemotherapy infusion appointments; support from outpatient physicians in clinic to assist with infusion needs; acute care medical‑surgical oncology experience, port management, chemotherapy administration, and cytotoxic spill handling required. - Location:
