• At least 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Oncology setting
• Other requirements may be determined by the client facility

The Oncology RN will care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement new symptom‑treatment methods, and monitor patient progress. Oncology nurses create a supportive environment and may specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

• Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing their disease and treatment effectively, including administration of chemotherapy.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.
