Client Overview

Providence Swedish is seeking an experienced Interim RN Manager to lead its Labor & Delivery department during a leadership transition. The previous Nurse Manager served in the role for approximately five years before taking FMLA and ultimately not returning. The current Assistant Nurse Manager has stepped into the interim role but does not have a Labor & Delivery background, creating an opportunity for an experienced operational leader to stabilize the department while mentoring existing leadership.

This role is viewed as a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

The unit averages approximately 217 deliveries per month (16–18 deliveries per day) and consists of:

  • 6 OB/ED rooms
  • 10 LDRP rooms
  • Antepartum beds
  • Expanded postpartum unit

Current capacity challenges have resulted in postpartum patients occupying labor rooms, creating throughput constraints during peak census.
