Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Contract Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing labor and preterm labor. This role involves circulating, scrubbing, and providing care in the OB-GYN unit as well as in post-op and pre-op settings. The nurse will also attend all deliveries, including high-risk cases, and assist with GYN surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and blood products as required.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and assist with C-sections.
• Monitor and assess patients during labor, including the use of epidural anesthesia and magnesium sulfate therapy.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the delivery process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience and

Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Epic experience required.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Active compact nursing license required.
