Labor and Delivery RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

The Labor and Delivery RN will provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing labor and preterm labor in a high-risk obstetric environment. Responsibilities will include attending all deliveries, managing labor rooms, and providing care in triage rooms, as well as post-operative and antepartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Administer medication and manage epidural anesthesia.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and pain assessments.
• Support mothers in postpartum care and couplet care practices.
• Utilize special equipment such as PCA pumps and warming blankets.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including administering blood products and medications like heparin and magnesium sulfate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Epic experience is required.
• Current BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; ACLS is preferred.
• A valid compact nursing license must be in hand at submission.
