Description:
We accept 13 or 26-week contracts. Candidates must have 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The position requires familiarity with the Epic charting system. Certifications required include BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and ACLS preferred. Responsible for the administration of blood and blood products. Manage anticoagulation therapy and antihypertensives. Assist with high-risk deliveries. Circulate for C-sections as needed. Facility experiences a monthly birth rate of 200-300.
Involves high-risk antepartum care. Must manage insulin drips and isolation precautions. Experience with labor and delivery procedures is essential. Competence in pain assessment and management is expected. Recovery of C-sections will be required. Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients. Use of intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) for placement and calibration is necessary. Utilize PCA (IV) for pain management as required.
Conduct wound assessment and care. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities. Refusal to float may impact assignment continuity. Communication devices will be provided as needed for role performance.
