Compensation
Pay Range: $24.48 - $29.91 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Responsibilities- Maximize sales by directing team members to provide customers with prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Solicit orders, sell company products, and represent the company in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain and grow customer base, increase sales volume at assigned accounts, and review customer needs to gain market share.
- Coordinate sales call efforts with the Territory Sales Manager.
- Supervise all store team members, working jointly with the District Manager on recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging.
- Develop and post work schedules based on sales and payroll forecasting; review timecards for accuracy and correct missed punches daily.
- Ensure team members continually improve skills through company training on policies, procedures, customer service, computer operations, catalogs, sales, and safety.
- Work with the Sales and Pricing Departments to establish pricing levels for professional customers.
- Maximize gross profit on outside purchases; monitor non‑competitive price overrides and matches to ensure policy compliance and eliminate discounting abuse.
- Maintain store organization and operations according to all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate new information from the company to all team members as necessary.
- Implement planogram changes and merchandising plans as outlined.
- Provide the Inventory Control Department with accurate and timely stock adjustment recaps.
- Handle all daily store accounting functions to ensure maximum efficiency, including sales reports, bank deposits, cash drawer management, and processing checks.
- Monitor charge accounts, promptly address past‑due situations, and communicate with the Territory Sales Manager and credit department on problem accounts.
- Monitor susceptible areas and implement loss prevention procedures (billing, cash refund, credit and stock transfer, warranty, key control, shoplifting prevention).
- Ensure store vehicles are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected on a daily/monthly basis.
- Report property/building needs using MARS or to the District Manager.
- Attend the Annual Managers’ Conference.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Required:
Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, Manager Development Program module. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
- Desired:
Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE certification. - Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
