Security Supervisor

Description

Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values. Persons holding this position must be able to perform all of the duties and functions of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations.

• Associate's Degree or, equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security.
• Upon hire: FEMA Level 100 or higher certification
• Upon request:
  Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

• Upon hire:
  Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety
• 2 years of related experience and/or training desired, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety.

Pay range: $31.43 – $48.08 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
