Senior Buyer; Landau, Biassono or Plovdiv

Position: Senior Buyer (based in Landau, Biassono or Plovdiv)
Location: Biassono

Support local sourcing team in procurement and purchasing of Direct Materials to ensure timely availability of goods and materials at optimized TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Development and implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies for Watts Industries Germany in line with the European and global (sourcing) strategy

Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and demand forecasts.
Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodities aligned with company goals
Identify cost reduction opportunities through sourcing, process improvements, or value engineering.
Benchmarking; identification of new (backup) sources and continuous improvement of the supply base to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain (quality and timing) at optimal TCO
Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricelists, terms and availability of materials
Troubleshooting supply problems
Ensuring the completeness and integrity of supplier data, purchasing records and related documentation
Preparing cost estimates and report all results of cost reduction initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 4 years' experience in purchasing dept or in a similar position in an industrial environment
Proven track record in the procurement of technical products
Sound knowledge of procurement and supply chain management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (German will be a plus)
Critical thinking and strong negotiation skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team and independently

EDUCATION

University degree in sourcing, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
