The Role
As a Business Development Manager at Fuller, you’re more than a salesperson — you’re a technical partner. You will collaborate with global teams, visit customer sites, and work closely with clients to understand their operations, identify needs, and shape solutions that deliver measurable results.
This role turns technical insight into strategic influence and long‑term partnerships into sustained business growth.
The Business Development Manager focuses on market creation and opportunity definition, while commercial execution and contract negotiations remain the responsibility of the regional and product line sales teams.

About The Department
This position will be based in Italy, reflecting the close and continuous interaction with Product Line technical and sales specialists.
Your Responsibilities

Report directly to the Product Line Head of Sales
Drive market entry strategy for new building materials segments in line with Product Line priorities
Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth segments, trends, and structural opportunities
Map regional ecosystems, including key players, technologies, and unmet needs
Define and qualify new opportunities up to commercial readiness, ensuring clear scope, value proposition, and go‑to‑market approach
Provide structured market input to Product Management on customer needs, gaps, and roadmap priorities
Enable Sales Specialists through opportunity framing, technical positioning, and value storytelling prior to commercial negotiation
Build and maintain a global opportunity pipeline focused on new markets and products (pre‑order intake)
Lead global go‑to‑market initiatives and support sales teams with launch guidance, tools, and playbooks
Ensure clear handover of qualified opportunities to Sales for execution and negotiation

What You Bring

Proven experience in market analysis, strategy, or business development
Background in building materials and industrial markets
Ability to translate market insights into opportunity definitions, go‑to‑market actions, and product roadmap inputs
Experience working cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, and Strategy teams
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong relationship‑building skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to structure data and define KPIs
Clear communicator with the ability to influence at a global level
Italian language proficiency
