Senior Tax Specialist

Experteer Overview In this role you will support the Area Tax Lead in delivering tax advice for client engagements and regional tax planning, while supervising tax compliance across multiple countries. You will engage with regional management and cross-functional teams to coordinate tax initiatives, M&A projects, and cross-border structuring. You’ll help harmonize in-country tax planning and support audits, with a focus on delivering compliant, tax-efficient solutions in an international environment.

This position offers exposure to a global tax group and regional leadership, with opportunities to influence planning and execution.

Retribuzione / Benefits Assist the Area Tax Lead in tax planning across the ICEG region (Italy, Poland, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Cyprus)
Support tax compliance and monitoring of local and international regulations; assist with statutory audits for material items

Contribute to development of tax planning proposals and coordinate with GTG Leads for implementation

Explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders and leadership

Collaborate with in-country tax groups to harmonize planning and post-acquisition integration of new entities

Assist with tax audits and controversies, coordinating external advisers

Support income tax returns, tax accounting, forecasting, and reporting activities

Maintain strong communication with regional management, finance, legal, treasury, and controllership

ResponsabilitàRecognized tax qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience

Big 4 international tax department or equivalent tax firm experience preferred

Good knowledge of international tax principles and ICEG region regulations

Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written)
University degree

Ability to manage multiple projects in an international context

Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Team player with strong communication and organizational skills
