Associate/Consultant – Energy & Infrastructure Advisory
Role Overview The Consultant/Analyst will play a core execution and analytical role across live mandates, with direct exposure to senior advisors, clients, and investors. This is not a “support” role: the position requires autonomy, critical thinking, and ownership of complex work streams, while maintaining the analytical rigor expected in high‑stakes financial advisory.
The role sits at the intersection of financial modeling, transaction execution, and strategic problem‑solving, with a strong sectoral focus on energy and infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities Build and review advanced financial models (DCF, project finance models, LBO‑style acquisition models, capital structure and refinancing models) for renewable energy and infrastructure assets
Perform valuation analyses for single assets and platforms, including sensitivity and scenario analyses tailored to market and regulatory risks
Support execution of M&A mandates (buy‑side and sell‑side), including preparation of teasers, information memoranda, data rooms, and management presentations
Contribute to capital raising processes, coordinating financial analysis, investor materials, and due diligence inputs
Analyze regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and revenue mechanisms relevant to energy and infrastructure assets (e.g., merchant risk, long‑term contracts, incentives, grid constraints)
Support strategic advisory mandates for developers and IPPs, including bankability assessments, funding strategies, and portfolio optimization
Produce concise, decision‑oriented analyses rather than generic market reports
Act as a key point of reference within deal teams, managing analytical work streams with limited supervision
Interact with clients, investors, lenders, and technical advisors in a professional and commercially aware manner
Review and challenge assumptions, identifying risks and inconsistencies rather than passively executing instructions
Candidate Profile
Experience3–4 years of experience in investment banking, financial advisory, infrastructure/energy advisory, project finance, or infrastructure investing
Demonstrated exposure to energy and/or infrastructure transactions; renewables experience is a strong advantage
Technical Skills Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel; ability to build and audit complex models independently
Strong understanding of capital structures, debt instruments, and project finance mechanics
Ability to synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear insights
Mindset & Soft Skills High level of intellectual curiosity and independent judgment; comfortable challenging assumptions, including those of senior stakeholders
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables and outcomes
Ability to operate effectively in a lean, high‑responsibility environment with limited hierarchy
Clear, structured communication skills in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus
Benefits
Direct exposure to live transactions across M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory
Steep learning curve driven by real responsibility, not process bureaucracy
Opportunity to work closely with senior professionals who combine advisory, entrepreneurial, and operational experienceA platform designed for professionals who prefer depth, rigor, and impact over scale and brand signaling
Access to more than 300 cutting‑edge training courses to enhance skills in emerging technologies and business topics
Policy supporting AGILE working up to 100% of your time, fostering true work‑life integration
Diversity, equity and inclusion commitment; promotion of recruitment and professional integration of people belonging to protected categories, in accordance with Italian Law 68/99
