Position: Fincrime Analyst (Relocation to Luxembourg)

Fincrime Analyst (Relocation to Luxembourg)  As Fincrime Analyst, you lead real-time surveillance, detection, and containment of fraudulent activity across our ecosystem. You will handle high-volume alerts, perform advanced escalations, and translate findings into actionable improvements for product and data teams. You’ll own a monitoring focal area, research emerging crime trends, and mentor junior analysts while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. This role blends risk management with hands-on analytics in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Manage and resolve transaction monitoring alerts in real-time with accurate decision-making
Serve as primary escalation point for complex alerts requiring deep-dive investigations
Provide feedback to Product/Data teams to refine detection rules and improve effectiveness
Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements to reduce false positives
Mentor and onboard junior analysts, sharing best practices in transaction analysis
Maintain compliant, well-documented rationale for every resolved alert
Own a strategic monitoring focal area and translate global crime trends into production-ready rules
3+ years in transaction monitoring, real-time fraud operations, or KYT surveillance in fintech or high-volume payment contexts
Subject matter expertise in transaction monitoring principles, payment flows, velocity patterns, and regulatory frameworks (FATF, EU Directives, PSD3/SCA)
Proficiency with data tools and SQL for querying large datasets (Looker, Splunk, HEX, Redshift)
Experience in identifying gaps in automated detection models and turning them into monitoring scenarios
Leadership and coaching experience to elevate team capabilities
Strong analytical communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
High attention to detail and ethical judgment in risk incidents
