Director, Public Affairs

Experteer Overview   As Director of Public Affairs in Italy, you will lead an integrated strategy spanning government affairs, communications and patient advocacy to support business priorities and market shaping. You will partner with the General Manager and international PA leaders to strengthen policy influence, reputation and stakeholder relationships. You will translate external insights into actionable plans and oversee cross-functional execution.

This role offers a strategic, hands‑on leadership opportunity in a complex, high‑stakes healthcare environment.
Retribuzione / Benefits    Define and lead an integrated PA strategy aligned with Italy business priorities
Advise the GM and leadership on external environment, positioning and reputation
Identify policy opportunities/risks and translate into actionable strategies
Lead market shaping initiatives for portfolio access and positioning
Build and maintain relationships with national/regional policymakers, institutions and associations
Monitor regulatory developments and provide strategic guidance
Oversee corporate communications strategy, media engagement and crisis readiness
Develop and implement patient advocacy strategy and partnerships
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure aligned external engagement
Lead agency management and ensure ethical, compliant external interactions
Represent Incyte at external forums and build influencer networks
Responsabilità    10+ years' experience across public affairs, government affairs, communications and/or patient advocacy
Strong network within Italian healthcare ecosystem (policy makers, institutions, media, patient groups)
Proven experience in strategy development and execution in complex environments
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
Strong leadership presence with entrepreneurial, self‑starting mindset
Experience in market shaping and reputation building initiatives
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to operate in a matrix and international environment
Strong commitment to ethics, compliance and integrity
Fluent Italian and English
