Welcome to the future of nuclear energy, where Westinghouse Electric Company is leading the field with expertise and innovation to shape the power of tomorrow. At Westinghouse, innovation is in our DNA. We are creative. We think differently. We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.
About the role:
As a Sr. Manager of Component Delivery Management you will be the senior leadership role responsible for end‑to‑end governance of component delivery in a nuclear‑qualified manufacturing environment. You will deal with planning, execution, documentation, and readiness while ensuring that schedule adherence never compromises nuclear safety, product integrity, or regulatory obligations.
You will report to the Operations Director and be located at Monfalcone (GO).
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure Nuclear Safety, Quality, and Compliance in Component Delivery: promote and enforce nuclear safety and quality culture throughout all component delivery activities
Own End‑to‑End Component Delivery Governance: ensure alignment between production and fabrication status, special processes (welding, NDE, RT), quality release and documentation readiness, logistics and customer requirements. Maintain a clear and controlled delivery framework from manufacturing completion through final handover
Manage Delivery Planning, Commitment, and Execution: own delivery commitments toward customers and internal stakeholders. Validate delivery dates based on realistic readiness assessments. Monitor execution against commitments, identify risks early, and initiate mitigation actions. Manage delivery prioritization according to operational objectives and nuclear constraints
Ensure Component Readiness and Configuration Integrity: check that all components are delivered with correct technical configuration, full traceability and identification, complete quality and inspection documentation, approved release status. Coordinate with Quality, NDE, Welding, and Engineering to verify readiness prior to release. Prevent configuration or documentation gaps that could result in downstream non‑conformities or regulatory findings
Interface with Internal/External Customers, Quality, and Regulatory Authorities: serve as the primary operational interface for internal/external customers on matters related to component delivery status, readiness, and constraints. Support customer audits, inspections, and acceptance activities related to delivered components. Provide transparent, factual, and defensible communication on delivery progress and issues
Lead and Develop the Delivery Management Organization: lead and develop teams responsible for delivery planning, coordination, and execution. Ensure consistent application of delivery rules, escalation criteria, and release authorization processes. Promote cross‑functional collaboration and accountability within the delivery function
Drive Continuous Improvement in Delivery Performance: identify systemic causes of delivery delays, rework, or late quality findings. Collaborate with Operations, OPEX, and Quality to implement structural improvements to delivery reliability. Ensure that improvements enhance robustness and compliance, not risk‑taking
Manage Delivery Risk and Escalation: maintain a proactive delivery risk register, with clear ownership and mitigation plans. Ensure disciplined escalation of risks affecting delivery, safety, or compliance. Lead recovery plans when delivery risks materialize, ensuring controlled and authorized execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related technical or managerial discipline preferred. Equivalent extensive experience may be taken into consideration
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project, program, delivery, engineering, manufacturing, or contract management, including minimum 5 years leading project managers, Component Delivery Managers, or multi-project organizations. Experience in nuclear or another highly regulated industrial sector is strongly preferredPMP, PRINCE2, program management, risk management, Lean, nuclear-quality, or equivalent…
