This company has a fantastic reputation in their industry and have recently purchased another business. They are known for having a longstanding workforce and promoting from within, with their current CEO starting off as an Installer several decades ago.

In this key role, you will lead a team of five accountants, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for a recently acquired Canadian company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be hands-on with financial reporting, audits, forecasting, budgeting, and ERP management, including future system integrations. You will also help grow the company through hiring, mergers & acquisitions, and playing a critical role during month- and quarter-end closes.

This role would suit a Controller with both tax and accounting experience, looking to put their own stamp on a reputable organization, by molding and developing an accounting department of five.

• Lead, develop, and grow your own department of five accountants
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a recently acquired Canadian company
• Hands-on with financial reporting, audits, forecasting, budgeting, and ERP management, including future system integrations

• Experience managing or mentoring accountants
• Accounting and Tax experience
• Bachelor’s degree and either a CMA or CPA certification
