Senior; SALT

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SALT Senior with a focus on state and local income tax to join our growing tax team. This role will provide high-quality compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base while contributing to staff development and team leadership.

• Prepare and review state and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities
• Research multistate income tax issues and develop client-focused planning strategies
• Respond to state tax notices, assist with audits, and represent clients in examinations
• Analyze state income tax law changes and their impact on clients’ operations and compliance
• Collaborate on nexus reviews, apportionment studies, and exposure analyses
• Review work prepared by staff, providing feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Delegate and manage assignments, ensuring timely completion and clear communication of objectives
• Train, mentor, and provide developmental opportunities for staff
• Maintain strong client relationships and assist with business development initiatives

• Actively work toward or maintain CPA licensure
• Develop strong interpersonal and leadership skills while supporting staff and interns
• Maintain constructive working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Attend regular professional development and training sessions
• Continue to expand technical knowledge in SALT income tax
• Participate in mentoring, recruiting, and firm events
• Represent the Firm in a manner consistent with our values and Five Star philosophy
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA license preferred
• 3–5 years of state and local income tax experience, preferably in public accounting
