Associate Project Analyst / Billing Client Service
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST.
Office
Location:
Itasca, IL.
Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; occasional client field visits.
- Interact directly with customers to resolve billing issues, including client billing, bill‑type transfers, and patient billing investigations.
- Work with internal departments, sales personnel, and assigned customers to resolve disputes, pricing challenges, and information cleanup.
- Support the Billing Project Analyst on specific customers or projects.
- Pull invoices and review them for accuracy; manage new account startups and ensure billing alignment.
- Provide client education on proper billing processes.
- Participate in accounts receivable calls and support overall AR performance.
- Manage bad‑debt initiatives to reduce bad debt.
- Conduct billing reviews and audits for assigned customers, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure accurate billing information.
- Correspond with clients, answer questions, and resolve issues.
- Follow up on outstanding payments, repairs, and resend invoices.
- Primarily work virtually with customers; meet in person as needed for quality assurance and projects.
- Perform other routine billing duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in billing, customer service, accounting, bookkeeping, analysis, or similar project‑oriented work.
- Potential travel to client sites (≈10%).
- Experience in healthcare, lab industry, RCM, or related billing.
- Sales or client‑facing experience (virtual or in‑person).
- Knowledge of Labcorp systems or internal processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong customer service, multitasking, time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
