About the Opportunity

Our client is a global manufacturing company seeking a Business Unit Controller to lead the finance function for an approximately $200 million business unit. Reporting directly to the Vice President / General Manager, this is a highly visible leadership role that combines financial oversight with strategic business partnership.

This position offers the opportunity to influence business strategy, improve operational performance, and partner closely with executive leadership across a global manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
• Partner with the VP/GM and leadership team to drive profitability and business performance.
• Provide financial leadership for manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, inventory, and margin analysis.
• Develop KPIs, business insights, and financial recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and develop the finance team while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Support ERP enhancements, capital planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing finance and accounting experience.
• Previous Controller, Business Unit Controller, Division Controller, or Plant Controller experience preferred.
• Strong background in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to partner with operations and executive leadership.
