Job Summary
As the Director, Market Access – Americas for DP World Americas RO, you will define the Regional Market Access Strategy and capability priorities. You will be instrumental in growing our existing offering within an end‑to‑end supply chain, lead strategic alignment, business development, and commercial coordination within the DP World portfolio in the ARO. The role directly contributes toward regional revenue and financial targets and provides client solutions leveraging DP World capabilities in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate the Market Access ARO strategy aligned to DP World Group, Pillar strategies and KPI priorities.
- Set strategic direction for the ARO Market Access capability and cascade strategic priorities into the region.
- Translate the ARO strategy into tangible vertical and country business plans.
- Establish and align the required Market Access ARO structures, standards and capabilities to support the capability’s objectives and drive a high‑performing team.
- Develop, implement and take accountability for Market Access ARO strategies to accelerate growth and positively influence DP World revenue, operating profit and return on invested capital.
- Establish global relationships and agreements with principals that create value for both parties.
- Lead key customer relationships and serve as the Market Access solutions expert in the region, identifying and understanding opportunities, challenges and partner priorities for mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Identify key acquisitions to meet Market Access targets and lead acquisition and integration efforts with stakeholders.
- Work proactively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify Market Access ARO market/service positioning and maximize growth opportunities.
- Support and implement mid‑term business development plans, including budget and P&L responsibility for Market Access ARO.
- Expand and grow the ARO Market Access capability to new categories and verticals in line with regional and global priorities.
- Ensure Market Access operations and commercial aspects are coordinated and executed to deliver optimal customer service.
- Proactively identify and manage business uncertainties and opportunities, implementing action plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Drive decision‑making through integrated business planning with regional and global stakeholders to maximize service to customers.
- Build effective relationships and facilitate collaboration across the DP World group to drive projects to completion and improve processes.
- Lead key customer relationships to deliver growth strategy over a 3‑to‑5 year period.
- Continuously evaluate industry, market and technology trends, recommend and drive projects to leverage opportunities.
- Formulate Market Access budget and ensure strategic deliverables are adequately budgeted.
- Ensure effective fiscal management in compliance with company standards.
- Lead, define and ensure compliance with budgeted revenue and operating income goals.
- Analyze monthly financial performance indicators, adjust to ensure profitability, and submit required reports promptly.
- Lead the DP World HR agenda for recruitment, learning, development, performance management, reward and talent management, and employee relations.
- Drive a high‑performance culture aligned with DP World objectives.
- Ensure implementation of continuous improvement, health, safety and sustainability practices.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all operating entities.
- Relevant post‑graduate degree.
- 10+ years’ experience in supply chain and distribution industry, including supply chain activities.
- 8+ years’ in a similar or senior executive role for a global multinational.
- Experience in consumer, healthcare, and durables industry is advantageous.
Salary Range: $180,000 – $193,000 base. This is the anticipated base salary range based on current national data. Pay may vary by location. The position may be eligible for short‑term incentives or sales compensation.
