Architectural Services Project Manager - Chicago, IL

Allegion is a global security and safety solutions company that helps protect people and places.

The Architectural Services Consultant will promote professional door hardware specification services, including Division 8 and 28, to prospective architectural accounts as part of a “pull through” sales strategy to penetrate the market.

This individual will manage and oversee project life cycles from initial Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA) phases, including projects under an Architectural Consulting Agreement.

• Proactively manage the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget while managing risk and ensuring quality control.
• Assist in developing project scope of services and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility of door hardware solutions.
• Promote Allegion brands and architectural services.
• Procure project specification opportunities using industry knowledge and network.
• Initiate architectural consulting agreements with firms using relationships and industry expertise.
• Collaborate closely with the local project sales team on specification projects and market meetings.
• Maintain industry and competitor product knowledge by reviewing market data.
• Adapt to changes in the marketplace.
• Ensure compliance with Allegion policies, guidelines and procedures.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, architecture, construction management, or door hardware consultancy.
• High School Diploma required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the Chicago, IL territory; occasional overnight travel.
• Basic understanding of security systems integration and electronic components.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action.

Base salary range: $90,000–$156,000. Compensation is determined by experience and other factors.
