Strategic Planning & Coordination
- Create, manage, and update comprehensive construction schedules for multi‑million‑dollar projects
- Lead the development of baseline schedules during early project phases (conceptual, schematic, design development)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to gather inputs and align sequencing
- Analyze drawings and specifications to determine accurate critical path timelines and identify risks
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier activity to ensure schedule alignment
- Perform impact analysis on delays or design changes and adjust timelines as needed
- Facilitate and lead weekly schedule reviews with internal and external teams
- Monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed with clear, consistent updates
- Integrate scheduling with project cost controls and procurement
- Load cost and resource data into Primavera P6 schedules for deeper project insights
- Maintain a proactive approach—identifying issues before they become problems
- Lead the creation of “as‑built” schedules and delay analysis documentation
- Prepare high‑quality monthly schedule reports and project narratives
- Analyze productivity and identify performance trends across multiple job sites
- Ensure quality and accuracy of data inputs and project team updates
- Maintain an audit trail for all scheduling decisions from start to finish
- Support project status reporting including critical path analysis and milestone tracking
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of scheduling experience in large‑scale commercial and/or industrial construction (projects $5M–$100M+)
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with estimating and procurement processes
- Ability to read construction drawings and specification manuals
- Strong communication and organizational skills—confident working with both field and office teams
- Willingness to travel as needed
- BIM experience (for 4D scheduling and sequencing)
- Prior experience in estimating or project management for a GC
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to navigate active construction sites and work in all weather conditions
- Comfortable climbing stairs or ladders as needed
- Ability to sit for extended periods during planning and reporting
- Tolerance for occasional high‑noise or dusty environments during site visits
