Customer Service Representative
Based in Itasca IL, the Customer Service Representative will manage order processing and customer inquiries while coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate, on-time delivery. Duties include maintaining customer data, analyzing reporting trends, and proactively resolving issues.
Primary Responsibilities- Process manual, web, and EDI sales and return orders, ensuring account compliance, pricing, discounts, freight, carrier requirements, packaging and other customer expectations.
- Review daily open orders with Shipping/Supply teams to minimize delays and ensure on-time, complete shipment for assigned customers.
- Respond to customer queries via phone, fax, and email, using established guidelines and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, I/S and Distribution to meet assigned customer account needs and maintain master customer information in databases.
- Compile data for departmental and customer reports, analyze trends, problem areas, and dispute potentials, and report results.
- Identify and recommend improvements or resolutions for departmental and customer issues.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years related Customer Service experience.
- EDI experience is a plus.
- Experience working with Manufacturing is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively interact and present to internal and external clients.
- Consistent leadership competencies: delivering results, developing skills, effective personal influence.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic mathematical calculation ability related to pricing, revenue, and margin.
The pay range for this position is $30,000 to $34,000. Base pay within this range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and education.
