Music Teacher, Band Director

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher and Band Director to provide high quality group and private band instruction to students of all ages in a retail lesson environment. In this role, you'll plan and lead engaging lessons, direct small ensembles, prepare students for performances and school programs, and support instrument rentals and accessories sales. You'll collaborate with store staff and school service reps, maintain accurate student progress records, and help create a welcoming, student focused atmosphere that reflects our commitment to music education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group band instrument instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with student goals and school programs
• Direct student ensembles and prepare students for recitals, concerts, and school performances
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and progress records within store systems
• Support the store team with basic instrument rentals, accessories recommendations, and student onboarding
• Collaborate with school service representatives and educators to support school music programs
• Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Care for and model proper use and maintenance of band instruments
• Participate in periodic staff meetings, trainings, and in store events promoting music education
